New to Camaro5 from OQCGP.com

Hello all.

I haven't really been on the forums much in the last year due to how busy life can get, however I joined up to Camaro5 about a month ago in hopes to become a solid member in this community as well.

I've had my 2010 2SS/RS since early 2013 and I love the car despite the many drive train problems I've already experienced.

I've been a member of OCQGP.com for quite some time as well, however their Camaro/G8 forums aren't nearly as popular as they are here (obviously).

I'm currently living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (originally from London, Ontario) and hate how short the driving season is here :(! With that being said, I hope to join as many meets as I can between the May - Sept months as I store the car outside of those times.

Some background on the car:

When I first bought the car, It already has shorty headers, and CAI, and after market exhaust. Once realizing this, I quickly went out and bought the TSP 231/236 Cam kit complete with a double roller timing chain.

I didn't get a chance to actually install the cam until early May this year, but so far it's been just an amazing car. It's currently not tuned and with how much tuning costs out here, I doubt I'll be able to afford it this year.

Some other mods coming for this Winter/Next spring are: New heads, new Intake manifold, pre-cat electronic cutouts, New DSS Aluminum Drive shaft with 3.91 gearing, PUSI mod, New Diff, and new axles and the potential for nitrous is not out of the question.

If anyone wants to hear the nightmare of a story that I've been dealing with my local GM dealership about the drive train problems, feel free to ask and I will post it up.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
