My girlfriends family members are all diehard FORD fanatics. (as in one has a Ford tattoo kind of diehard) and to be more specific, Mustang owners. Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents... SMH. I have been given so much sh*t from them for my Camaro. Quite frankly I don't care. They can think what they want. Mustangs are ugly, cheap and a dime a dozen (at least in my area). But it makes family get togethers a little uncomfortable at times because they think cracking nonstop Chevy jokes is hilarious...


To me they're tasteless, ignorant and delusional.

Obviously I aint one of those. one of the few camaro owners in the area and I like it that way to be honest. like having something different than anyone else owns. everybody and there brother owns a stang around here, dime a dozen!

To me they all settled for less when they bought their cars and are ignorant.

Don't let them intimidate you, if they can dish it out, let 'em have it!!! They'll have more respect for you and they'll razz you a lot less. You've shown them you can take their shot's, zing 'em back, they're just testing to see what kind of sense of humor you got. I say joke'em if they cant take a f***.

You have to be careful though, don't want things to get heated with her family. I know some brand fanatics and they get really upset/angry if you starting taking shots at their car.

Exactly...You've got to put on the thick skin, and be ready to give them just as much shit as they are giving you and do it with a smile (jokingly of course). If they are just normal fun-loving people, they will take your razzing with a smile and go on just fine. If they can't take your zings, but love dishing out their own well then they are just a bunch of a-holes and you'll either have to tell them to lay off or consider just how much you like this girl.

Same. Around here I swear there are 19 Stangs per Camaro. Theyre EVERYWHERE! And to come across a respectable Mustang is RARE. They're all rust buckets with exhaust leaks. I always feel like a boss pulling up next to or passing a beat up stang... BUT no matter how beat up it is, they'll still rev it up at you haha. That's NE Indiana tho.
