Do you clean YOUR bowties?
Or your arrowheads, shields, crests, letters, lions, planets, rams, or ovals?
![]() Can you tell what I'm talking about, yet? Do you make it a point (especially for those who live in winter climates) of cleaning off the badges on your vehicle before you go out on the road? I've got a Cobalt. And everyday (especially when it snows) I take the extra second to wipe clean the Chevy bowties on my car. Might sound crazy to some - but I still do it; Honor and pride, perhaps? ![]() So...Do YOU? |

I Know exactly what your saying.
I have a routine when i clean the snow off: I clean off the windows, walk around and clean off the headlights, then brush off the snow on the bowtie. I used to feel weird doing it, now I feel better.

well, seeing as how ive debadged my car....no. lol after I get it repainted and 9 layers of clearcoat and my 69 anniversary badges put on...yes lol
and its a good idea to wipe the snow and whatnot off there for more than just asthetics. on the odd chance that the doubleside tape pulls loose in a small area on the badge and the snow melts and gets in there, it will just drag dirt and whatnot in there with it.

I don't have to worry about snow, but whenever I took my Blazer out in the mud, I made sure the bowtie was cleaned off for the ride home.

Well considering theres no snow in Texas.. Theres never anything to wipe off my cars, plus I always keep them clean anyways lol. However if I did live in a climate where there may be snow, I have no idea lol.

Honestly, I hate my car so much I can't remember the last time I even washed it... Though it might get a quick wash this week.

Uhhh, I've never even considered this as something a car lover would do.
Let's see, Born and raised in Tucson AZ. Dusty but not enough to cover badging. 9 years in the Navy stationed in San Diego. The only place in the world where your car actually stays clean unless you do something dumb like find the only puddle in the county and drive through it. Currently living in Jacksonville FL. About the worst thing we deal with out here is pollen from the pine trees in the spring. Oh yeah and rain once a week. Until I read this thread, I would have never even guessed you guys did this... That's awesome.
