Hello everybody,
I am opening this thread to ask for your opinion. Today at work I got confirmation about a trip to the US, Mason Michigan specifically. I think it is a great opportunity to buy something for Pistachon and I am thinking about a CAI (CAI, Inc) and a Catch Can, but I am not sure if I will be able to find them anywhere near Mason. So, I am thinking: Is it possible to buy them online and have them sent to a hotel address? Should I think of traveling to Detroit, for example, and get them there? Do you think I will have problems when bringing them back to Mexico? Thanks in advance for any comments you may have on this. |

Lots of hotels accept deliveries for guests. I see people shipping their golf clubs all the time.

I honestly don't know, so bear with me here, but how does shipping work in Mexico compared to the US? How much more is shipping actually to Mexico compared to what it may be in the US?
You should have no issues shipping to your hotel, but you may have trouble getting it back to Mexico with you on the plane, unless you can fit one in your suitcase and another in an additional bag (extra baggage fee)... may be cheaper than shipping. |

- There are not many online stores that ship to Mexico - Based on the cost of the items, I will have to pay import taxes here - The worst of all: I do not trust the shipping companies here. When I bought my car, Chevrolet Mexico sent me a "Welcome kit" that contained a Collection Item. Guess what? I received all the letters and an empty box with no Collection Item. That's why I was thinking in bringing them back with me on the plane, but you're right... there may be an extra baggage fee to pay. Thanks! |

You may still end up paying import taxes on it when you go through your customs in the airport. It's a little obvious that a CAI isn't part of your normal luggage like if you bought clothes here to bring back with you.
