Does anyone remember Papyrus?
Maker of the best driving games I can remember for any platform.
The Nascar stuff they did was amazing, with all the suspension stuff you could do, and how well it simulated the tracks. And, if you crashed, you damaged your car! I hate driving "games" because they don't discourage hitting the walls, usually. edit: good video of the game. I posted this because I miss this kind of game for the PC. Still have my wheel and pedals for this.

Ooooh...
I just found that the guy that founded Papyrus has started his new company (the Nascar franchise they had started went to EA). check out www.iracking.com for more info on what he's doing now. Subscription based, but looks VERY good.

You know...C5 might be the best type of place to bring this up...but it'd be great to see about 20 of us at a track like Bristol or Talledega
![]() Rockingham was always my favorite track though.

I've got a NASCAR game for Wii, it encourages hitting other cars, sliding through corners, and other things that you don't see on raceday. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of it. I think it is NASCAR Unleashed.

I finally got my replacement steering wheel because my first one didn't have a working clutch/brake pedal (springs missing). RMA'd it, and now have the new one from Newegg.
Last night was my first time really getting used to the cars in iRacing. It's a very good simulation. Someone had mentioned another racing simulation (can't remember the title right now), but after I saw a video of someone using that game (free) to drive an F1 in the snow on a twisty track at almost full speed...I'm not sure I'm interested in a game that doesn't simulate rain/snow well, yet includes it in the game. Tried all the cars I have at Lime Rock last night. There is a rise where you top a hill...and it took a few laps to get used to not losing the rear end going over that blind rise. Love good sims...

I'm no-where near this fast yet, but I was also driving the CTS-V and Corvette as well as some of the lesser cars to see how they handled/performed.
