Car insurance Question.
Hi i have progressive insurance right now and its time to renew but when i got the new policly renewal it went up 15 bucks a month and in the most recent of time i have been a really good driver no tickits in the past 2nhalf years. So i call and say why is it up the answer i got was, There was a revision of the area u drive in and there are worse drivers in that area so it went up cause of that and the lady also told me that the State has to sign off on it before i can even be approved Thanks Va i know who i am not voting for now. So my question is what other Insurance might be as good or better than What i have i do have 5 points on my drivers record that come off next year. Any help will be appreciated.

Isn't progressive the company that says they'll compare prices with other companies?? You should call them and ask for quotes.

Trust me when they compare prices for you it is bullshit numbers. The best way to get the best price on insurance is to call a few companys and compare youself. I just switched from State Farm to Geico and saved over $600 for the year and even upped my coverages to cover my custom paint supercharger and stereo system. If you do go with Geico and if you have mods you may have to call a couple of times to get someone who knows what they can cover and what they can't. The first time I called them and told them about my mods they said they couldn't cover them. I called back and talked to someone eles and they said no problem. I called back a third time and talked to a supervisor and got it taken care of. Good luck buddy. Oh you may want to wait until the 5 points come off to switch.

Car insurance is like any other business. You can get excellent "deals" when you first go with them but the following year watch your price go up (or service go down). Car insurance is a long-term committment so you might as well accept it. As the years go by and you qualify for things like multi-car discounts, home/auto insurance combos, accident-free, points-free, etc., that is when you will get a better deal that will last through your insurance company.
I've been with State Farm since 1980, haven't used them a lot but have zero complaints when I did have to. I have good coverage on my Camaro, my Dodge Ram, and my home... $60/month. If you prove yourself to the company with a good track record, you can get excellent deals from just about any of them. |
