I went to the dam to get some dam water.
The dam man said I couldn't have any dam water.

Just imagine glacial lake outburst floods such as what happened here in Washington State. Periodically, an ice dam on the Clark Ford River would break, releasing huge floods. Hoover dam probably be something like that.

Science now say the mesa's out west were created in 1 day not 1000s of years from a gigantic melt lake or such behind a glacier that broke.

The amount of silt left on the upstream side of the dam is amazing.

Dam - I expected from the title they were removing the whole dam. They just pulled the plug and drained it is all.
It's pretty cool to watch the light show at Grand Coulee Dam, they release the water slowly but when it's up to full head it's pretty spectacular. Then they run a documentary and laser light show on the water as it rushes across the face of the dam. We drove the Camaro over on Labor Day Weekend and watched. I was impressed.

I am one that after going over that dam several times when I lived in that area. I am glad its Dam over lol
