The trick here is teaching your RETRIEVER to let go of the Hog once he's caught it !!!

We used to go hog'en up here in Pa. Just fill the truck with corn and a case of beer and head to town.

They got those new TV shows on about catching hogs and I guess its good for TV but don't know why they spend so much effort to catch them alive and wrangle them.


Must be selling them live for profit.

Cause id just mow em down and save the effort, since they are being removed as an invasive species. [they ain't taking 1-2 for meat, they are taking out the whole family group for good.]

Up north here going out hoggin is a whole different sport, you hope to find a cute little one but if you wanna score one no matter what, the really big ones are always easier to catch.

[funny we would tease one friend about goin out hoggin when board and he would be all yuck and no way, but guess how fate showed up in his marriage? ]
