Questions for some Camaro owners....
I'm gonna fill you in on some personal things about myself before I start this rant. My camaro is my frist "American" car. I traded in my altima just change things up a little bit. Just a couple of things I wanna discuss on here one of them is any jacka$$ that thinks "ricers" are junk is clearly delusional. I hate to break it to the haters but Japanese cars are the most reliable. I LOVE people on this site any questions I had I got answers for, for the most part people are really helpful on here and I thank you. On the other hand there are some posts on here that seem to have a racist tone to them, you know like "ricers, ricers, ricers!" Some jack a$$ posted "I rather ride on a pogo stick than drive an Asian car" on one of the forums I read. Well for all the people bashing "ricers" my question is how do feel about Sang yup Lee, you know the Korean dude, eats rice and designed the 5th generation Camaro....?? Considered by most Camaro fans as the man that brought the camaro back to life!

I think it's pretty well known fact among us that Sang Yup Lee was the major influence in designing the 5th gen. Him being Asian has nothing to do with anything.
This is a Camaro site, you are going to have a certain amount of Asian car bashing, as well as Mustangs and Challengers. ![]() ![]() Wonder how long this thread will last?????

To me a ricer could be an american car too. If people are using that term to be racist well then they're just jackholes. There are just as many american ricers out there as foreign. I have to agree that some Japanese cars and trucks are good ,but I can't stand Toyotas. It has nothing to do with the country of origin though. I just never liked anything they've built and I don't believe their quality is what is used to be or that is what ever that good. And, I can't tell you that in the real world without the media trying to sway everyone, that american cars and trucks are just as good and in many cases today better than Japanese cars. I don't really know what that has to do with the whole ricer thing though.

I think a lot of the hate stems from the generalization that everyone who drives an "import" acts like they want to live in "The Fast and the Furious" movies.
Kind of played out IMO, the big graphics, abundant use of stickers, coffee can mufflers etc. Some of it has to do with "American Pride" Some folks are racist too, believe it or not. Even camaro owners. Takes all kinds I suppose. Bottom line is, that generalizations usually are a bad thing. Personally I think there are some amazing Japanese cars. The Nissan GTR, the Subaru WRX, and many others. I just prefer to drive american muscle. That's MY flavor. I'm also half Chinese, Half Italian. I think the Korean dude who designed our Camaros is a genius!!

You state "...I LOVE people on this site any questions I had I got answers for..."
you're only 5 posts in and here are a two of them.. Post 1. (my favorite) Ryu_Hayabusa writes "Man just shut up..." That's it that's all you wrote!! Post 2. Ryu_Hayabusa writes "My opinion is priest you are a simple minded moron. In all honesty the car you drive looks and drives like s#$%. I don't wanna be mean but "a v6camaro is not a camaro?"....You have little brain don't you" so yaaa whatever man. TROOOOOOOLIN!! |

Some people just can't take a little bashing without going wacko!!!! So you now have a Camaro, how long before you turn it into a "ricer"?

I would have really liked to have my Camaro signed by Sang Yup Lee. But instead had it signed by Sum Hot Chic....
