Unhappy My car is so f***ed

Wednesday near the end of a torrential downpour that flooded the Island where I work I was driving down the street in what appeared to be 4-6inches of water. I noticed the water level rising quickly so I started to turn off the road. Well the intersection was under 3 feet of water. It went from 6 inches- 3 feet in about 25ft. So my engine and interior are flooded. Thankfully it's covered by Allstate's comprehensive insurance. We'll see what the adjuster says. I didn't really like the car very much but this effing sucks. This'll be my third totaled car in three years if it does actually get totaled. Got a rental Mazda3 for now. Pics as soon as I find my camera.

The Grand Am? The write-off would be a blessing! Perfect down stroke towards a 2010.

Yea that's what my dad said. I'll have to play with some numbers to see if I could swing it.

SO... They decided to fix it... new motor, tranny, starter and alternator. It was so close to being totaled that I almost wish the interior needed to be redone. So my plan is to pay off the ~$5k I owe on it within the year and try to sell it locally. From there I'm hoping to get a Cobalt SS or 1LT... but I'm not opposed to going foreign.
