That entry had a lot of things wrong with it.
1. Website is spelled wrong(not really significant but it tells a lot about how much attention was paid)
2.He doesn't claim to "draw, fire two shots with a revolver and return the piece to the holster in .002 seconds" He says that he "Draws, cocks, levels, and fires the gun in two HUNDRETHS(.02) not two thousandths of a second.
3. There is no way that he is moving that revolver a foot and a half until he fires, I say six inches MAX.

as far as the 2 sounding like one... that's called the Haas Effect. sounds occurring less than about 20ms apart are perceived as one sound
