2010 Sierra Denali

Hello all, my dad finally traded in his 04 Duramax work truck standard cab for something a little more suited for daily driving, a Sierra Denali. It is white, beautiful, and to be honest I'm pretty jealous. Anyway, just a question for those familiar with the truck:

Does the Denali require premium fuel? Also is the engine the L99 or a different variant of the 6.2 L?

He seems to think regular is fine because it doesn't say anywhere on the gas cap or manual that it requires 92-93 octane. Let me know!

As far as I know, it'll run fine on regular unleaded. I haven't seen anything that says it requires premium.

And I don't think it's exactly the L99, but it's a variant of that engine lineup.

My parents have a Cadillac Escalade EXT "or whatever the mdoel is that is the size of the Suberban" with the 6.2L, and the dealer told her to never run anything under 90. I myself dont think it would hurt, but who knows.

i had a 2008 version. it will run on regular but premium is recomended because the computer adjusts tot he lower grade fuel and reduces power. also it makes the motor tick more than normal. when i put in the good stuff the tick went away.
