Don't think you just need brake pads replaced...

My wife's car started ticking when she hit the brakes. I listened to it & it sounded weird as hell. I took the front right tire off & there was brake fluid all over the place...some of it was on the caliper. I don't know how easy it is for brake fluid to catch fire, but it was definitely close to getting in the right place!

Time to find the place where it's leaking...

The only thing I know of is to wipe it off & have the wife pump the brakes, any other ideas? How hard & much should she pump them?

Remove the caliper and have her pump them, you can always compress the piston back in with a clamp afterwards. More than likely if its not coming from a brake hose, the piston seal in the caliper is busted or rotted out. How old are the calipers? What kind of car?
