Help! car running erratic

I have a 04GT, Iwas on my way home, stopped at the Motorcycle Shop, needed new tires. Anyways when I started the car and left it started spitin and sputtering. Did it all the way home. Got home took off my K&N CAI filter, cleaned the maf sensor with cleaner for that cleaned the filter, drove down the road , did it again then smoothed out some not running as eratic. Anyone know why this might have happened.

did you let your filter oil dry before you drove it if you did oil it. Is your CEL light on could potentially be O2 sensors. Reading too much air coming in and not enough going out or the other way around from a dirty MAF.

Problem solved......Fuel Filter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
