I managed to convert one!
I've got a co-worker that drives a very nice Ford Lightning, needless to say he's one of those blue oval boys. Since I started my job we'd get into it about the new Camaro, Stang, Vette, GT...etc. He's as Ford knowledgeable as I am GM. So Ive been showing him all the numbers and guess what, he just ordered a SS2 Cyber Gray Metallic. So even though I cant get one, Ill be driving one when they hit they streets!
![]() he's also happy to be getting more than 12mpg too! Last edited by TFord; 11-03-2008 at 08:18 PM. |

I've been working on a Toyota guy at work. He is slowly coming around.

OK, so theoretically speaking ... is it a good thing or a bad thing to convert somebody? I mean it's nice to throw the support to GM, but I've always been a fan of not having a mainstream car. I mean when the re-styled Mustangs came out a few years ago, I absolutely loved them, but I knew I would never want one because sooooooo many would be on the road in due time. What are your guys' thought on this?

I converted a guy thinking about the Chally SRT.
He didn't even know a new Camaro was coming out and the dealer had "value markup" on the SRT. Once I 'splained a few things to him he decided against the SRT. |

3 years later I see like 2-3 of them a day! ![]() The Camaro isn't going to be very common maybe the first model year or two, but give it a few years and they're going probably be just as common as the Mustang if the Camaro is successful. I'm starting to see more Challenger's on the road now too...
