Chevrolet produced an old French dictionary showing that the word meant "friend" or "companion", but Ford found an alternate meaning in an old Spanish dictionary-"a small, shrimp-like creature."The automotive press had a good laugh over that, and an even bigger one when one journalist found yet another meaning-"loose bowels." It didn't take long for the laughter to stop after the introduction of the stunning 1967 Camaro!

Which kinda leads me to tell you that I'm interested in automotive history and intend to put together a little e-scrapbook of interesting dates in the Camaro's history. I'm not sure if the mods/admins would be interested in putting said notes into the events calender (it's not eally an event, but could be a neat eye-grabber when logging onto the site), but I'll work on some stuff and see what I come up with.

Anyway, this made me chuckle so I decided to share it.

I remember reading that. The timeline idea would be really cool. Maybe even have a technical timeline for engine options etc. I think it would really add value to the site. I have done quite a bit of research on third and fourth gens, so if you need any help let me know. I think LS1tech has a few good threads relating to this.

Well in spanish Camaron means shrimp (accent over the O). But we all know CAMARO doesnt have an N on the end.

Here's what I can come up with...
Camaro - an immortal animal, friendly to owners of those like it, and owners of it's close family, Corvette. But vicious towards owners of all other cars.
