I need your help!!!

Hey my fellow camaro buddies, this is not a question about my camaro but about my other car. My transmission on my 1986 mercedes benz 190D messed up. =( i was wondering where i can buy new/used transmission for this car at a good and reasonable price. any suggestions will help me.. =(

buy a parts car, its worth it down the road for all sortsa stuff u may think u'd never need.

Buy a whole car that rough with rust but a good drivetrain. Then also youll have extra parts like trim, glass, switches etc. Parts cars are invaluable to have especially for cars like that.

yeah, thats true. thanks for the advice, but do you know where i can buy a tranmission for that car at a reasonable price as of now?

Is it auto or manual?
Only reason I ask, a good friend works on them and the manuals are known to get jammed linkages (seems to happen for no apparent reason) may sick in a gear may not, but if you get it on a ramp, and tap the linkage with a piece of wood, it can normally be freed off!
Course if you have an auto...that'll be feck all help!!

Try a junk yard, many of them have a parts locater that is nation wide. I've delivered parts to junk yards around here that came from far away states.
