I had an idea ...

I just saw a thing on autoblog about Corvette racing, and they had this picture:

Is something wrong with me for wanting someone to create a Corvette based El Camino?

i would take an ute any day. i hate massive trucks and SUV's but i would like something that is a bit better at moving and hauling things than my mustang. i don't care what it's based off of, just GIVE ME AN UTE.

How about a C4 Camino?

84 ZR1 El Camino

But i think Ute's would fly too.

hmmm... as soon as i saw the pic, i knew exactly what you were gonna say before i scrolled down & saw the rest of the post

i gotta say, that GXP ute looks like it'd be pretty fun!
the only qualms i'd have would be getting that sucker to hook. vettes + more power = real traction issues anyway, so just imagine taking that much weight off your drive wheels...

Stiffer springs and/or traction bars would basically alleviate that though. I'd be more worried about the handling differences from moving the weight balance so far forward.
