GTO or '02 Camaro

I've been on this site for a little while now but never really formally introduced myself. So I'll start off with that.

I've been a avid camaro fan for years. My first car was a 1991 blue RS, loved it but when i couldn't fix it my dad sold it . I've been dreaming of the new camaro since i first learned of the concept. I'm currently balancing a 40hr work load while attending school full time trying desperately to finish my engineering degree. Right now between my truck payment (fiancé's vehicle) and my house payment, there's no way i could afford anything right now. Which brings me to the post question.

I might be getting a very good promotion at work soon, and even though i could afford a 2010 i am not prepared to pull the trigger till after school is through.

So i had the idea, buy a GTO/4th gen Z28 and drive that till i'm ready for the 5th gen.

So here's my question, Which is the better vehicle?

05 GTO? or 02 Z28?

Two completely different cars. I've owned them both. The GTO is way more comfortable and drives a lot smoother.

The Z28 would be a better platform if you're looking for a drag car. But the GTO makes a much better daily driver.

As mentioned, I've owned both and I'd much rather have a GTO.

If its a 2002 35th SS, then get that for sure! but if its just any ol 4th gen with a V8, then i think that the GTO is what id go with

I've had three 4th gen F-bodies and a '06 GTO.

Get the GTO!

I did miss the T-tops though!

I had a 1999 Firehawk, then a 2005 GTO, and now a 2010 Camaro. The GTO is way better than the eariler Camaro/Firebird, and the 2010 Camaro is a little better than the GTO, performance wise. Looks wise, the Camaro is the clear winner all the way around!
