Camaro Kicked to the Curb

My Camaro is now my second most funnest toy. Bought this a few weeks ago and have barely used the poor car ever since.

It doesn't look very happy with the new ride:

It's my first bike and it's a lot of fun. Ride it every chance I get.

Just so the Camaro didn't feel totally neglected, I did change up the bowties:

Whatcha think?

There are old motorcycle riders and bold motorcycle riders but there're no old, bold motorcycle riders.

I went through that phase over thirty years ago.

Here's an example of why I gave up the bike:

"On one leg each, they stand together"

By: JO CIAVAGLIA
Bucks County Courier Times

Garry and Renee Brizell say that losing one leg each in a motorcycle accident has slowed them down, but hasn't stopped them from moving forward - together.

For all that they've been through the last six months Garry and Renee Brizell figure together they still have two good legs to stand on. Their right ones.

After all, doctors told the Bristol Township couple it's a miracle they're standing, period.

In September Garry and Renee took their motorcycle out for a long ride to New Hope, when an unlicensed driver missed a stop sign and slammed into them, throwing them onto separate sides of River Road. Renee's leg was severed, Garry's was badly crushed.

The town of New Hope, Pennsylvania, mentioned in the article is a popular destination for cyclists. When the weather's nice the streets are jammed, literally wall-to-wall, with parked bikes as riders bask in the ambiance of the quaint town.

Make no mistake, bikes can be a deadly way to get your kicks. It is not only that you rely upon your own skill and savvy but that you must depend upon the sketchy abilities of others.

Heed.

I could never have a bike other than the F800 ST, if I had anything else I'd probably wind up dead doing stupid s*it. But I have enough respect for the F800 ST, not to do stupid tricks on it. I guess that what I said is a contradiction but in my case it's true

Just remember, there are 2 kinds of riders. Those that have gone down and those that are going to. I went down about an hour after taking the motorcycle safety course. (Figures).....

Yeah articles like that make me sad. You could be the best driver/rider around but that 17 year old texting while driving that doesn't realize they have a read light and is barreling into your rear end doesn't care...

But I don't think people with motorcycles need to be reminded how dangerous it is. Life is dangerous, list any situation you could be in and I bet somebody has been seriously injured or died doing it...
