Former Kodak employee that used to do product testing and comparisons. Like the Canon Cameras for the most part. Some of the Kodak's are okay, but the Canon's seem more consistant.

Agreed to the Canon cameras. My point and shoot and DSLR cameras are canon. They have been real good to me over the years.

Kodak EasyShare M1093 IS is reasonably priced and when you snap a pic it immediately takes the pic there is no hesitation, i cant stand a camera that takes the pic 3 seconds after you press the button and it takes great pics or get the step up from that camera would be even better.

I use the Nikon Coolpix P90... Easy to use as a point and shoot, or the beginnings of a DSLR for an affordable price...

Before you buy try out the Panosonic Lumix cameras. My wife has one and my son just bought one. (Panosonic Lumix FH3 14.1 megapixels) $232.99 Canadian $

I work for Canon so I am a bit biased, but they really are the best cameras. I and my whole family have Canons (big surprise) and no issues whatsoever. All of us working here are proud because we know how good our product is. There are many models with 3 inch screens as well. The new SD3500 IS has a 3.5 inch touch screen on back

Just bought a Sony Cybershot TX7 @ amazon for $339! 6 months no interest as well. Not a bad deal. Now I have to go find a memory card.
