Where Can I Put This?

A guy near me is selling an '87 TPI Engine out of a Corvette. I was thinking if I bought this engine I could throw it in a car that doesn't have one (cars w/o engines are cheaper, gettin' my logic?) So where will it fit, or better yet, where wont it fit? I'm planning on getting a Chevrolet muscle car, or a GTO or Firebird/Trans Am.

Find an old Third Gen Camaro. Plunk it in there. Fun shall be had.

TPI motors are junk. You could probably land an ls1 or lq9 for the same thing if you shop around. Unless he gives it to you for free your getting ripped off.

Id do a Fiero V8 conversion. The TPI's may not be the best but they have their cool factor place. Easy to diagnose. Only bother with an aluminum head L98 though. the rest are kinda kife.

I had a 1987 5.7 IROC and that car screwed, I know the 87 engine does not compare to our 6.2's, but it was more than enough to smoke mustangs.

Listen to the guys. I have an 87 gta with the 5.7tpi. It's a dog. I'm in the process of building a 406 now. Do you have a boat? The tpi makes a great anchor.
