T.D.A 5...Gift giving(11/24/09)

So the holiday season is here and that means shopping shopping and shopping for christmas presents, hannukah gifts, and all sorts of goodies. When you were a kid (and even some people now), you wrote down everything you wanted Santa to bring you.

Ahah! One I can answer!

Part 1: This happens to me every single year. EVERY year. The problem is that anything I want/need thats relatively small, I just go get. And so every holiday season I'm reduced to creating a list of random things that I kinda maybe think would be interesting, but don't really want. However, I also point out the fact that I don't really want any of the items on the list and only put them there because the things I really want are too expensive to list. Most of my friends and relatives have figured out by now that I don't do gift lists well.

Part 2: I agree entirely, but I don't know why people expect gift ideas and I certainly don't know why they get upset when they aren't given any. I don't ask for gift ideas - I just get people things and hope they like them.

Part II: I think people get upset if they're not given because they feel too busy or pressured by the season then while they know you they still have a sneaking suspicion that while they get you something they could be wrong and they're afraid to do that.

Part I : You know my answer for this but I will say is that any gift is fine, and I have no wants or needs. Any gift will do. I mean gifts themselves are more than enough, it should not be something that is a big soiree.

Part II: People get upset because they don't want to think and or they know people who do get pissed off about the gift they got.
