Please Keep In Prayers

Last night a 8 year old boy died in a house fire in my housing development. His father also had 2nd degree burns over a part of his body, and was bay flighted to Tampa General.

Will do. My aunt's house burned to the ground when I was a teen. Even though no one was injured she lost all but the clothes on her back. Totally devastating.

Just said a prayer for the survivors. There's never a time you want this to happen but it's especially devastating right before the holidays.

Definitely a bad time before the holidays. I mean, he was 8, and some of the comments the neighbors made about his house, and his family on the news were ridiculous. They almost made it sound like his family dealt drugs, saying that they heard what sounded like amunition going off in the house during the fire, and another neighbor said that cars were always in and out during the day.

It kinda made me mad. A kid died, and they could care less. It was definitely something to see. Seeing the 2-3 fire trucks, the numerous ambulances, the cop cars, cop suv's...you name it.

Wow I just read that! What a tragedy. I have an eight year old daughter, and I probably would have died trying to save her. Will be saying a prayer for the father and the rest of the family. If he survives his injuries, he will need a ton of emotional support for this! :(

I agree. I believe he will be okay, Tampa General is one of the best burn units in Florida from my understanding. When I got there, I am not sure if they were working on the little boy, or the father, but seen quite a few firefighter/emts in the ambulance working. It was definitely a site to see with the flames lighting up the late night sky. Almost looked exactly like the space shuttle taking off at night.

No one should ever bury their child. I dont care if the person is 80 and the parent is 100 yrs old. That is so sad. They will be in my prayers.

What a tragedy...really puts things in perspective about how fragile and fleeting life can be....
