Sleep Number Bed

Wife and I have been thinking about investing in a sleep number bed. Every morning I wake up with lower back pain and a sore neck. We have a quality mattress but its just not very comfortable.

Was wondering if anyone here has one and what your experience has been.

I am happy with our sleep number bed. It got rid of 90% of my back pains. Much better than a good mattress. I find myself changing it slightly (increasing/decreasing) the air pressure as needed. I run a little firmer than my better half so the individual controls are nice. The valley between the sides which reduces cuddling is a negative. But allows for better sleeping. I am glad I spent the money.

It's a water bed with no water.

That's great! I could only hope for those results. Spoke to a non sleep number bed salesman tonight about them and he said that one of his customers was telling him about her sleep number bed. She said hers would lose air pressure throughout the night. Do you find that to be an issue?

Just wasn’t as comfortable. The Westin Heavenly bed was more comfortable, too.

FWIW, I just bought one about 2 weeks ago. I was having an issue with bad sleep and figured I blow money on stupid crap all the time, may as well spend on something that I use every night.

I sprung for the adjustable base as well. I've been using a modified zero gravity setting (lowering the head a bit from the original position) and have been sleeping pretty good. I tended to roll on my sides but this position keeps me in place on my back and that has helped.

I'm not 100% sure it was worth the $$ spent (around 3.5k) verses another bed, but I have been sleeping better so I guess I cant really complain about it.

I adjust mine every so often. When I would adjust it down one number it would not let out any air (lost a little bit). This was over a two to three week period.

If mine lost air overnight and they did not fix it, then they would have come and got. If someone has a leaker and they didn’t get it made right, then my money is on they own a cat.

Slept on one for 11 months and gave it away (there went $3200) The first 6-8 weeks it felt like the perfect mattress, then no matter what I did or what setting I used I just couldn't get comfortable. Kept it as long as I could stand it hoping that I could find that sweet spot again but couldn't. My suggestion would be to purchase one that you can sleep on for the 30 nights and return if it doesn't work for you. I'm also thinking that a couple of times per year they offer a 60 night offer that would give you a better idea whether or not it will work for you.
