Over-reaction much?

Camaro had 139 day supply going into Sept. Raised incentives well above Mustangs, and ended with 120 days supply.

Mustang had 71 day supply going into Sept. Didn't change incentives, and ended with an 89 day supply.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the ZL1. Moved to General Automotive & Other Cars.

Not sure whats worse: sensationalist headlines, or people that don't bother to even read the following article.

First paragraph, last sentence:
"The plant ... will resume production Oct. 17"
The Mustang isn't going anywhere, not any time soon. They just have too many cars on lots right now, and the quickest way to rectify the situation is to stop building cars. Then next week when they resume, they can slow production to ~1500 units a week, compared to the ~2200 they had been doing.

Its getting harder and harder to tell the difference between sarcasm and honestly held ideas anymore. Not to mention the fact that its become increasingly common to excuse statements as 'just sarcasm' after they fail to land.

There are plenty of fanboys out there that will cite this as the death of the Mustang. Just as there are lots that will assume NAFTA has something to do with this. And even if the people that made the posts I quoted are being sarcastic, who's to say that the next guy won't come by and legitimately agree?

Personally, I enjoy sarcasm. I love riffing with friends to push something ever more outlandish limits. But with strangers, I try to keep it to a minimum or make it as obvious as I can. I don't always succeed, but I try to be understood as clearly as possible.
