Question about a Dealership

So, I kind of feel bad for the sales manager of a Chevy dealership I previously bought my 2010 Camaro through.

The Finance/Sales Manager there helped me locate what will be my replacement Corvette. He did a search on the Chevy system giving me 4 choices across the country to find a specific combination of color and features that were important to me. As he said, he could have told me to pound sand...yet was cool enough to do that for me.

Besides buying another car there, what can (or should) I do for him for his help?

Send him business if you can... other than buying from him, sending him business... posting positive reviews for his work, not much else I would do.

Write a yelp review on the dealership and mention his name.

I must be missing something here. If you found a car you liked at a different dealership and you like working with that dealer, why can't they work a deal to bring that car to their dealership? That's what I did when I got my Camaro. The one I liked was actually at a dealership in Texas. My dealer worked a swap with them and brought the car up from Texas. I had to sign a sales contract before they'd make the deal but I had one last opportunity to say no when they actually took delivery of the car. If it wasn't what I wanted, for any reason at all, I could back out and not be out anything other than the good will of the dealership.

Actually, they tried to get a car from Oregon, which is close...it had sold. Anything from across the country isn't really worth them doing any shipping, and so I had to deal with those dealerships directly.

My dealer her in Seattle basically just pointed me in the right direction.
