From one LT1 to the Next

Hello guys. I'm a former 4th-Gen, 6 speed, LT1 owner. I'm an Engineer living in Upstate South Carolina. Finally have gotten myself to a spot to be able to purchase a nice fun sports car before I get married and have children (I'm engaged now). Holding out for a 2017 1LE! Hopefully. I'm trying to resist the urge to pick up a 5th gen 1LE.

I'm definitely an 8 cylinder guy. Although the new HP numbers for even the base 4 cylinder turbo nearly match what my 97 LT1 Z/28 had. Impressive just not my cup of tea.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

to the forum. While your waiting, I am driving! 5th Gen 1LE is a very fun car and some will be available with low miles. I just saw my first 6th Gen at a dealership yesterday, and the car is smaller. $41K for a loaded V6 model. I'm also looking forward to the 2017's to see if a 1LE, Z28, or ZL1 will be introduced. Still will not be getting rid of my car and in a short time will be paid off.
