Bought A New Car!!

but its not another Camaro.... my 10 SS will never leave my garage and I did think about looking at a used ZL-1, but they were still a little pricey. My DD a 2000 F250 4x4 has served me well.....it has about 230K miles on it so I decided I needed a little bit more dependable car. One of my hobbies besides going fast in my Camaro is going 4 wheeling, since my DD will become by home depot truck I selected a 4 door jeep. Several of my friends have some and I test drove a model Friday and bit the bullet. And if you think there are lots of mod's available for our cars...wow, there are stores upon stores for modding jeeps. Any of you other guys around the country enjoy 4-wheeling and/or have a jeep as your second car?

Here it is:

I like it. I wanted the wife to get one but she went with a 300.

I haven't really been driving my camaro much this year and am seriously considering selling it for a wrangler, but I just can't seem to pull the trigger on one just yet. The wrangler is tops on my list for my next vehicle. It's also pretty cool they are built right down the road from my house.

I have had two Wranglers as my daily drivers -- 99 and an 06. I also had a 95 geared low for trails.

Loved my 99 Sahara edition and would have kept it until the wheels fell off, but it was totaled by insurance after a theft attempt (cut wiring harness). It had high mileage and rust from New England winters, but they gave me 12k for it in 2011. And I gave up my 95 because I was not doing any wheeling since moving to Arizona - I like mud and it's scarce in Tucson.

When I bought the 06 I was thinking, "Hey, it's still a TJ, and same 4.0L engine, but now a 6 speed stick vs. 5 speed stick." Wrong. Hated it. Felt so much more anemic than the 99. And after only 60k miles all kinds of things were wanting replacing - head gasket, brake lines, catalytic converter.

I traded to the Camaro and went automatic with it so the husband could drive it too.

nice ! I used to have a wrangler, did a nice lift and rockstar wheels on it with light bars and a few other things added to her. Sold it to a buddy of mine a while back. I just picked up my 2015 Red Rock Metallic 1 LE over the weekend. Super excited and already have the itch to start modding her.

a 2012 JK was my first car. Traded it back in October of 13 for my SS. Just wasn't my thing.

Same here. Driving a 2015 wrangler. 4 door. (The wife drives it more than i do lol). Got a 2011 camry as a daily driver till i get the 2016 camaro soon as it comes out and trading in the camry. Out here in Massachusetts u need a wrangler for the winter. First thing u should do Is change those low quality speakers that come with the jeep if u love your music loud. Lots of options for mods. First thing I started with was the grille inserts. Enjoy your jeep

Dang, did not think I would get such a good response in a Camaro forum! Those are very nice jeeps, and BA bumble bee....that is an amazing garage and vehicles. Scrooge, how do the inserts get installed? I have seen some of the local jeeps with the inserts but thought they were a special factory package.
