2015 Racing Season
The Daytona 500 is only 33 days from today so I thought I would start a thread for the 2015 Racing Season. Last year was one of the best years for competition that I've seen in a long time. The new rules changes for the Championship produced a lot of hard racing and the best finish that I've ever seen at Homestead Speedway!
I will be at the Daytona 500 (My 47th consecutive) staying in a Prevost in the infield parked on Lake Lloyd - Pics to follow! I recently toured the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC. Really took me down memory lane! Here's a few pics:

This a pic of the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird that Pete Hamilton won the 1970 Daytona 500 with. This Superbird also won both races at Talladega in 1970. The car was built by Petty Enterprises in Level Cross, NC. Take a close look at the dash. It actually has an ignition key to start the car!

I got into Nascar in the early 90's. It's really changed. It's always been changing, one thing I like about the sport is that it changes with technology. Doesn't seem like the championship is as deserving anymore. All for show now. Somewhere between hockey and wrestling. Seems like Nascar had a little control of the outcome last year. JMO
