Toyota takes the lead in US sales

The General Motors Corporation said on Wednesday that the slowdown in the United States market had led to a decline in sales in the first quarter and had allowed Toyota to take the lead in this year’s global sales race.
Eh, it's only the first quarter though. I'd hate to see them lose the title for the year, but even if it does, we'll have the Camaro next year, and that should help quite a bit.

I cried a little yesterday when I found this out.

GM seems very optimistic though. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Camaro make a nice dent in the sales difference.

Well, according to the article they actually overtook GM in the first quarter of last year as well, and truth be told, Toyota is working too hard to get that number one spot, and their quality is starting to slip. GM however, is working on making improvements to their products, and their company, and that is starting to show.

Psh let them have it, and good riddance to that title. Chasing the number 1 spot at all costs just means cheapness and poor quality/reliability. Its not about being the biggest. Its about being the best.

what you guys say is true, toyotas quality did slip during their growth, and i would laugh if GM lost their title without the camaro, and then got it back with the rebirth of the camaro...
