Happy Veteran's Day and THANK YOU. Tribute
Though I was unable to join the military out of school, I had a couple of real close friends and family members as well that have served or are serving. I was on a path to be a part of the military. I was in ROTC in the 1st 3 years of high school. Always receiving nothing but the highest honors every year in everything that I did. I was told that I would be a West Point scholarship hopeful once I finished high school with glowing recommendations from my Lt Colonel (instructor, not a cadet). Then in the middle of my junior year my mother pulled me from that school and my brother, sister, and I had to move back to Texas with my father. The school that I attended for the remainder of my junior and senior years did not offer ROTC or anything like that so I was not in it for the remainder of my school years. When I tried to join after graduating, I was denied due to medical issues. Needless to say it broke my heart in more ways then one and I felt like I had let so many people down. I have always believed in everything that our Armed Forces stand for and do my best to support them in every way that I can. I am not one of those people that have delusions of how things would be and try to live through others experiences. This is just a little history about me and why I am so passionate when it comes to this. This is not meant to be about me though.
This is for all of those past, present, future, and especially the ones that didn't make it back. As civilians we face our own trials, tribulations, demons, and our own type of hell. As soldiers, some of them and their families face something that we could never even begin to imagine or even understand. I know that there are those that would rather not be called heroes and that are not comfortable having a civilian tell them thank you because of their own reasons as it was mentioned in another post. I mean no disrespect to those, but to me, you will always be a hero, if for no other reason than having the strength to endure the things that you have. So, there are tons of tributes to our men and women but here are some that I just felt like sharing. They may not be for everyone but I hope that there are those that appreciate them for what they are. Always remember, not everyone makes it back and there are so many that have to live with that in their own ways.

Tomorrow is Rememberence Day here in Canada and we shut everything down for the day to pay tribute to those who gave for all of us. I will be at the cenotaph paying my respects and thank you to all who serve past, present and future. To my Grandfather who lived a long life of torment and was stationed overseas during WWII, who brought home an tiny little English woman who was a fire fighter in London and became a war bride and my grandmother. Hope all is well on the other side and that you have finally found peace.
Hoping all those who have passed have found rest and peace after they left this life knowing that their sacrifice and service means everything to those of us who get to live with freedom today.

Thank you very much for your service to all our Veteran's and active service members. Special thanks to all those who gave their all. A special salute to all my friends & family who currently serve or have served. I will not try to name them all as the list is long and my feeble mind would surely forget some but My personal thanks to my father, Charley Bradley Moore, Father-in-law, Bill Denney, Brother-in-law, Charles Everhart and my active duty son, Ryan Denney. Much love and respect to all who have or currently serve.
