Prayers and good wishes for Gordie Howe
I know we have a Sports section, but Gordie Howe is more than an ambassador for hockey, he's a good human being.
Gordie Howe suffered a bad stroke on Sunday. Just how bad we don't know, but he has trouble speaking and walking and his right side is very weak. Gordie is 86 and he's a very tough old SOB but this event is pretty bad. He's with his family, but unfortunately his wife passed away in '09. He has also been suffering from dementia (unrelated to the stroke)and although he knows who he is and is apparently alert, that's not something that gets better. Hang in there Mr. Hockey, and get well soon.
