Dodge Hell Cat, Dealer is a joke
My good friend likes challengers and he really wanted to buy the Hell Cat, so I went over to the dodge dealership with him. We sat down with a few guys and they told us that the base price is 70k for the Hell Cat. Dodge claimed the base was 60k so that means the dealer is charging a extra 10k plus a 25k mark up, That's 95k right there and its just insane to think anyone would buy that.
MY friend was thinking about buying it and the people at the dealer were telling him not to buy the Hell Cat its a rip off and he would lose 25k driving it off the lot. They told him to buy a SRT8 or SRT, anyways it was a crazy experience and I thought I would share it with everyone on these forums. My friend was so pissed at the whole situation he thought about buying the Z/28 instead. I took him over to the Chevy dealer and they had a black on black for about 80k. He's seriously thinking of buying the Z/28 now  .Edit: Sorry for my misleading title I should have said the dealer was a joke, how rude they were and dissing there own car it was very odd. I think the Hell Cat is a amazing car so I'm not trying to hate or anything.

Dodge lets you "build your own"..Ive done this twice, and the dealers honor it cause the manufacture says so:

The hellcat isn't a joke. It the dealer you are dealing with that is the joke. Also, I guess the Z/28 is a joke too by your standards because there were dealers asking crazy mark ups on them too. My buddy is trading his 2012 SRT8 in on a Hellcat for no markup at all, and he's getting a fair trade.

For that you could buy a zl1 and mod it to be just as fast as a hellcat and still have money leftover. Personally, I think you would have a nicer car too.

Gold was $35.00 an ounce in 1970. A 1970 Hemi Cuda in B5 blue with a 4 speed was only $3600.00, couldn't get that so I got the 440 6 pack for $3300.00. A 1973 VW bug was $2050.00 new . A 1987 Iroc 350 was with T tops and option package 3 was only $16000.00. A 2000 Z28 was $23000.00 . 2005 Chevy duramax 2500 hd LS ext cab 4x4 was buy like an employee $32000.00. We all know what a 2014 1LE cost . It is inflation ,and it gets worse every day . The dollar is in the toilet ,and not worth a damn. So who's to say what a limited edition high performance car is worth now a days? But $90000.00 is insane for a Chrysler for sure. And the Z28 is also $20000.00 to high . A decent Porterhouse is $9.00 a pound . Bottom line is , soon they make the dollar larger and softer and it should be about the same price as a sheet of Charmin TP with BHO's picture on it .
