1987 grand national.. 33k original miles.
and i get to drive it here and there for a little while.. my cousin just bought this gem last week.. 33k original miles. original tires, with some gn wheels for daily use. all paper work was found in a barn.. last tagged was in 93.. window sticker and all... man this car drives like a beast.. i love it and always will want to own one.. the car is for sale... pm me for price if interested.. this is an unmolested grand national.. i told my cousin to sell one of his other cars and keep this one.. its a keeper... still runs on r-12... a/c blows cold.... i might keep it for myself lol... stays in garage.. and i drive it once in a while.....

If original, get those tires off there NOW. Just a blowout waiting to happen. They're Goodyear Eagles, and they're surely dry rotted by now. Check for tread cracking. And with 33K on them, they're at end of life. If they still have tread on them, they've been replaced and are not original. Eagles didn't last but around 35-36K max back in those days if you were easy on them.
I bought a 1987 Olds 442 with 19K miles on it (22K miles now) and it was original darn near everything. The friggin' tires were NOT in the greatest of shape, and the headliner foam underneath that perfect headliner fabric was crispy and crumbly. So the headliner will need to be replaced. Luckily, the ROWL Goodyear Eagle GTs are reproe'd now in 215/65/15, so it's getting new shoes that look period correct, eventually. GLWS. They're nice cars. But they're still Buicks and they're still V6s...

What, you're like...12? Maybe try saying something adult-like. Name-calling is rather immature and distracts the rest of the nicer people here trying to have a discussion.

There are 2 things in this thread that I will not allow: disrespecting other members per forum rules, and disrespecting any Buick GNX, Grand National, or T-Type.
I'm letting the "disrespecting other members" thing go and giving you the benefit of the doubt that it's friendly banter. Make it more clear next time. As for the Buick being awesome, deal with it. They might not be your style, but they're muscular Buicks fully capable of smacking the tongue out of a lot of cocky V8 snobs. Just imagine what that company could have been if this sort of car were allowed to prosper.

Weren't those faster than the V8 Corvette those years...?
Those cas are pure awesome! I love Buick, from the late 50s till the present. I'm planning on buying the IPS twin turbo kit for my V6 in the near future. It's going to be my little Chevy Grand National |
