Engine light on after catch can install!
Just installed my catch can and the engine light is in however it drives fine, I feel like I can tell some difference in throttle response and I hear that hissing noise. Is it just me or shld there be a difference? I know after some mods u think things are different but theyre really in ur head. What do u think? And shkd I wry about the check engine light?

catch can should not give a CEL and there is no performance change by adding one, it just stops oil from entering the intake and gunking up the valves.

Make sure your hose connections are securely connected?? Like the person above posted, the catch can can't make a cel come on. Check the connection in the back make sure it's all the way on.

Make sure the drain is closed on the can or you could get a CEL for a vacuum leak. That could be the noise you hear also.

Is it still leaking?
I use carb cleaner to find vaccum leaks but a little goes a long way. Since its flammable you gotta be careful where your spraying it or at least have a stick and some marshmellows handy. Oh,and blowing on it won't put the fire out. |

Lol, noted. Its not leaking, I realized the type of material the hose is makes sound of the vacuum much more prominent, but everything is opperating normally now.

Something I noticed on my Elite Catch can. My hissing sound was pretty loud. I noticed when i flexed the hose even slighlty the sound would change. By rotating the hose on the connection points 30 to 40 degrees at each end, the pitch changed enough so it wasnt annoying. These hoses are not perfectly round, so experiment a little for the best pitch. I think I'm at a C#.
