Anyone get any snide remarks about your sports cars?
The comments I'm talking about are "midlife crisis", "do you really need this?", "are you compensating?", etc. Does it ever tick you guys off or do you just shrug it off. Class envy is great today in society.

It doesn't matter what you drive, people will make snide remarks. My uncle has a ferrari and people call him a D Bag just for driving by. My friend has a piece of crap lexus because his parents don't want him beating up a new car and kids in the area insult him all the time. In conclusion, people are jerks. Just ignore them

The comments are usually done when they hear her and move over to the other side like OMG, and that sounds awesome and if that don't work I never really liked jealous idiots anyway !

I head such comments off. Like when I carried my S&W .500 magnum revolver with the 8 3/8" barrel into a shop one time they dropped their jaws at the sight of it so I just told them I was compensating.
Generally with the car so far it's been cool. I just keep it light unless someone is generally interested in talking about it.

Agreed. I shrug it off on the outside but I am cursing them on the inside. I was told I like to be flashy and make sure everyone looks at my things because I drive a Camaro and especially because of my exhaust (it isn't really that loud). I was also told it would be a stupid silly little phase I'd grow out of. I forget which magazine had an article by an enthusiast that wrote something that stuck out to me. When asked if anyone ever questioned the builds he's done or why he spends the money, he simply replies:
"If you have to ask, you just won't understand." |
