Intro

Hello all. I'm not sure if there is a more appropriate place for an introduction, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

I was always an F-body fan as a kid (20+ years ago) and have had Camaros, Firebirds, a turbo 300ZX and even a 5.0 convertible over the years. I still have a MK3 VR6 Jetta that I built, but it mostly holds the garage floor down. I don't have much time to enjoy cars these days because I drag race Harley-Davidson motorcycles (former AHDRA #8 SEP and #10 ET, now racing AMRA and builing a PG bike).

I recently ran across one of those "too good to pass up" deals on a 2010 with only 12k miles on it (I think the pic is in my signature) so I bought it. My last camaro was 4 years ago. A 94 Z34 that I was in the process of grafting an LS7 into and an unfortunate "life event" happened (ugly divorce, totally worth it ) so the project got sold.

Anyway, back in the fold with the "new" 5th gen, and while I may lurk more than I post, I wanted to thank the sponsors/admin/various powers that be for this forum. I'll try to be an upstanding citizen. I don't talk crap, I don't need any crap, I'm not in the crap business. Just here to see what others have experienced with their 5th gens because I have been out of the loop for a long time when it comes to cars. Most of my energy is dedicated to motorcycles these days...and kicking myself in the rear for selling my 79 Formula

Cheers!

This is the proper sub forum for Intro's... Welcome aboard...

The formal welcome will be forthcoming from another member probably some time today... He discusses the etiquette and other formal items... Dress code etc... lol...

am I confused or what is a 94 Z34 ?
Did you mean Z-28 or maybe there is a code for a 94 Camaro that I am not aware of?
Was not a fan of the 4Th gen cars, didn't like the body shape, so I didn't follow them enough to learn much about them.
Yeah I sold a 73 formula that I would give my right arm to have again, trying to find a half way decent one now would break the bank! I know they are nice, but cant believe how the prices of those have gone up so much!
Welcome to the gang! Enjoy the ride!

I could have the designation wrong. I wasn't a huge fan of that generation, either. It was a 3.? V6 with a 5-spd and T-tops. I got it for nothing from a co-worker who locked up the engine and his better half wanted it gone. It seemed the the perfect non OBDII for an LS7

As for the bike pics, as much as I dislike the "shameless plug" type stuff you can check out www.facebook.com/joymotorsports and there are lots of pics. Probably even a few of the PG build. I didn't mention it before because this is a Camaro site and I didn't want to seem like "that guy". A little about JMS, we sponsor a missionary family in PNG (through Wycliffe) and also support a local charity that helps homeless women.

Proceeds (winnings or merch sales) benefit those charities. Bioweapon Fuel www.bwfuel.com puts the pushwater in my tanks.

I'm not a Bible thumper, not here to cram anything down anybody's throat. I'm not perfect, I still like dirty jokes as much as the next guy and even a cold beer or two. I just try to make a difference, walk the walk, live a good life, etc... but I fall down from time to time, just like anybody else.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Thanks, folks.

I posted some more pics in the garage, and I apologize for the grainy photos. I think it was caused by the HDR feature and the resize to be able to post.

Nothing all that special, just a run-of-the-mill car, but I realize that etiquette requires pics to prove you aren't a troll.
