Funny stuff.

Well, that's how it was here growing up. The mere hint at a dusting of snow and the grocery stores get raided, bread and milk, people that don't eat bread or drink milk go and buy damn bread and milk and you can't find any.

Until '93 when we had one actual snow storm. I'm sure a lot of people remember that one, it was widespread, but we got a couple feet maybe. So what my dad gum hometown did was have the police department go out and buy a couple of snowmobiles for just such and occasion. They bought them after the fact of course. Way to fix the barn door after.... Anyway, they literally never used them because it just didn't snow that much again, or really any, in the 21 years since. So I think they finally sold them off. Redonkulous.

Funny, but true. If you watch the weather in Houston right now it is armageddon. The real issue here is nobody knows how to drive on slick roads. A few years ago on a day with freezing rain a neighbor was rear ended 5 times on a 13 mile commute.

That is funny especially to a guy who lives where we had a blizzard two weeks ago. I had over 2' at my house. Stuff was closed for 1 day. It really does come down to the ability to clean it up. We are very good at that here. The bread and milk thing is universal though people still snatch it up even here during a storm I will never understand that part.
