Tinted tail lights

Has anyone tinted their tail lights? If so, what did you use, vht nightshades, rustoleum, etc...?

Did you clear coat as well?

I plan to tint mine a little when the temps here in St. Louis get a bit warmer again, but here is one from SEMA this year that has tinted taillights. These area a bit dark for me, but certainly look great!
