Hi. New guy from GA (kinda)

Hi all. Just got a used black 2012 Camaro LT RS last Wednesday as a 25th birthday present for myself and from my parents who helped me with the down payment and are covering my insurance for now. I traded in my first car which was a 2007 Scion TC.

A Camaro wasn't on my mind at all a few weeks ago, but when I saw the Gen 5 models in person (I hadn't seen that many people driving them) I was hooked. I wanted my next vehicle to be something that wouldn't destroy my wallet (I'm a grad student in northern Indiana) but was very stylish to the point where I could keep it for a really long time and still have it look somewhat unique throughout the years, so I think I hit the jackpot with this one, especially with the lucky deal I got.

So far I'm loving the car, its features, and the compliments I've already gotten, though most of them have been from kids >_>. The main thing I'm trying to get used to is the wide body and my parking is usually crooked, so I have to park in less crowded areas of parking lots for now haha. Well that, and the pretty big blind spot behind the passenger seat, so I hope I don't run over anybody or back into a car when pulling out of those diagonal parking spaces <_<. As far as mods, I'm just planning to black out the front and rear bowties, though I'm still trying to decide between regular or matte vinyl.

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
