did anyone get a look inside the rear? - does it have any storage space at all? Like for a couple cases of beer or 2-3 bags of groceries?

Yes easily and more. The trunks are very roomy even in the c6 it had room.

Had one hated the service frequency and cost of service. Ridiculous what a oil change cost in one. $1200

Yeah friend mine didn't get one cuz service prices he said was ridiculous ..
He said they also try to make it so u can't do it urself..

Could also replace carpet with microsuede but won't hold up well to wear..

Yea good thing I am here right in the middle of carpet capital of the world Dalton, GA. My family even owns a small carpet company. We will make something that will look better than the 1960's loop pile carpet this stuff is. A cut pile like whats in my GTR would be awesome. Who knows.
