Car show invites

OK guys take it easy on me. I have owned 4 Camaros now in my lifetime, but have only been to a couple of car shows as a casual observer. Help! Now I have been invited to take place in 2 of them over this weekend with my RJT. I don't want to look like a complete idiot. What do you do? I know get the car clean and shiney, but what else? I assume you stay with the car while on display? Any tips would be greatly appreciated and thanks so much.

What you want to do first is learn how to spell 'shiny'

But seriously, you pretty much got it. Just shine the car up and vacum it out. Not much to it.

As far as staying with the car the entire time, that's up to you. I don't know many who stay with the car the whole day. And from the shows I went to, you can leave the doors open and walk around the show. Just take you're personal stuff with you. If you're being judged and not just in the show as a 'cruise in' type thing, then you'll WANT to leave it open.

People at these things usually don't mess with anything.

In fact, I would wonder if your car would be SAFER if you leave it open while you're not there. Might piss someone off if you lock it up.

Thank you! One of the shows is judged, the other is not. I would have never thought of leaving it open. One of them is 60 miles down the Interstate, I'll probably have to clean the bugs off when I get there!
