FLU

So, being a good boy I get a flu shot in October and since I'm 65 I get the extra strength dose. Well, today I find out I have the Flu. Crap. This is what I get for a FREE flu shot.

That figures.:(

I like your user name, that was my dad's nick name from when he was a kid. He got it because he use to follow his dad around like a lost puppy they say. I can still hear my mom call him that. Seeing your username made me smile and it brought back some nice memories.

Flu shots do not cover all strains of the flu.
The good part of being sick is you can post more often here.

no flu shots ever far back as I can recall since being an adult and out of the service..

"touches wood" haven't been sick in over 25 years at least. Last time I recall being down was in Jr. High School, so maybe closer to 35 years.

personally I don't believe in a medicated life, I take no medications unless I have no choice (have to take antibiotics before dental work because of titanium replacement joints) but beyond that, nope..

guess I am just lucky I have a strong immune system.....

I feel your pain. I took 4 days off to celebrate my birthday this weekend and wouldn't you know it, Friday night, last day of work before my long weekend and I start getting the sore throat. I haven't been out of the house now for 4 days, hacking and horking and sick as a dog. Flu season sucks.
