Newest 2012 Cammy Owner in Dallas, TX
Greetings to all who view this. I'm Edward, Camaro5 NEWBIE about a month in and I just took official DELIVERY of my brand new SIM 1LS this past Tuesday. It was about a 3 wk ordeal of dealer haggling which I finally ended by popping into the showroom on my lunch break to get the ball rolling. And I'm glad I did b/c SHE IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! I got to drive her back to work, which u can imagine the RUCCOUS that caused with all my male co-workers!! And my FB page simply exploded like never b4 once I posted the first pics. It's been quite a week.
In the short time we've been together, I've noticed EVERYWHERE we are, that heads turn. This makes perfect sense to me now b/c up until last Tuesday, I was one of those "heads", oogling every 5th gen Cammy that rolled by. However, I now get 2 experience this from the inside. AWESOME. In less than a week, Tatty(short for Tatiana) has quickly become the LOVE of my LIFE. I still can't believe she's mine. It was a big jump 4 me, years in the planning. But I did it, and w/o it costing the pervirbial arm and leg. But it's when I'm behind the wheel that the REAL thrills happen. Tatiana has this "purr"like tone she releases as I start making my way through her 6 speeds , but then when I hit 3rd gear... Oh man!! Her "purr"like tone becomes this deep GROWL from her belly and it builds until I go into 4th, where the GROWL is now the start of her ROAR!! B4 u know it, we're AIRBORNE!! For those of you still riding the fence over getting into ur own 5th gen Cammy, u need to do it. For enthusiasts of the Camaro model, or previous owners such as myself(gen 2 - 1984-1988) , u owe it 2 yourself. I was somewhat concerned at first, but not anymore. I also plan some MODS in the very near future, starting with 4pc. Expandable 7 Color LED Interior Kit ABL from LEDGlow, Black Rally Stripes from RiderGraphix, and eventually new wheels. I will probably start a PROJECT thread when the MODS begin. Keep an eye out for my updates. Special thanks to the keepers of this incredible resource of info and advice to EVERYTHING 5th Generation Camaro. I honestly don't think I would be in my Cammy right now, without the useful and encouraging info that allowed me to what I've only dreamed of doing until now. |

Welcome, everytime I see some use cammy I instantly think of a Toyota.

Edward, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
