Got a call from a family member this morning to tell me that a shooting happened at a movie theater in Aurora, CO. He made it out safely but my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

Heard about on my way to work the newsman called it the batman shooting for some strange reason. But anyway glad he's okay prayer sent for all victims involved.

He probably called it the Batman shooting because that was the movie they were watching.

Eventually, the authorities really need to try to explain to everyone "what was going on" inside the head of the shooter.

The shooter willfully turned himself in behind the theater. (Why didn't he shoot himself?) Just like the Gabrielle Giffords shooting. (That shooter also didn't kill himself either.)

In both of these shootings, the shooter doesn't seem to care in any way shape of form of escaping, or avoiding any punishments.

If the Batman-shooter had escaped, it makes you wonder if he would have ever been caught.

I just think that sounds very odd. I can't help feeling these guys are being mind controlled somehow, such as "commit this act", then wait to be arrested.

Interestingly his mother said something like "Oh that sounds like my son", acting like she felt he was capable of doing this.

Read they are trying to get into his apartment, but the doors are booby trapped. He set off a gas bomb of some kind and went in wearing a gas mask, killing 12 and injuring many others. It took place at in a theater that was showing Batman. Officials have started recommending people not goto movies currently because of fear of copycats. I'll be doing the driven tomorrow. If necessary I will just run over any armed nut cases.

The guy will go down as the Batman Shooter. What glory he has achieved. It makes me sick that people can conceive of this kind of horror and carry it out. Rather than a trial, this guy should just be hung in his jail cell and burned in a trash pile.
