So its obvious that i am pro chevy and all of my friends are pro chevy too. Saying that we are real car guys and have respect for all makes and models except for ricers. lol anyways. my friend luke builds motors for a living down in emporia kansas. he sold his drag car last year and was looking for a new one and he found a mid 90s mustang body that had everything he wanted including tranny but wanted to build his own motor for it. His brother and dad are huge into drag racing and bracket racing and they travel the midwest to race. Long story short he built himself a chevy 6.2L v8, all naturally aspirated motor and he putted on the dyno at his shop and its making 704hp at the crank. that is real impressive. To the funny part that i love is i will be at the races and ford fans/mustang owners will come over to look at it and think how badass it is until they see a chevy 6.2L under the hood and just to see the look on their face in discust is priceless and most of them just walk away and don't say anything after they see the motor thats in it. Go chevy!

Happens all the time. LS motors are simply the cheaper choice and offer more CID than the Ford modulars if you're going to build a motor for a race car.

That definitely sounds like a intrusting and fun build!
I love the 94-98 SN95 body style beautiful car but, I am biased though.

Last night on "Auction Kings," a dude sold a Hot Rod Model T repro/ kit car... with a Bow Tie motor in it.
I like seeing Ford propulsion provided by the superior powerplant... |
