what would you do?

Headed to Tobaccoville last night to pick up wife from work, had a friend with me who wanted cigarettes. Got off 52 in Rural Hall to go to store. Let my buddy out to get cigs and saw another Camaro in the lot. I pulled over next to it noticed the Ohio front license plate. Dark blue, white stripes. I waved at the guy and he started doing hand motions that I would later find out was sign language. He was deaf. He gets out and approaches me, I can tell something is going on. I get out and discover that he has a flat tire, and of course, he had no idea he didnt have a spare!! I looked at the tire, three inch gash on side wall. Im running late to pick up my wife. Two older deaf people and small child in car...so I leave my buddy with them. I go pick up my wife and come back. Searched for a tire place open all night in Winston, no luck at all. Asked a sheriff for help, he calls AAA. We leave thinking its all good. Later checked on people to find they are sleeping in the car because the tow truck wouldnt take the child. So I did the only thing I could think of. I drove 25 miles back out there and put on my spare. I followed them to the tire store and put their tire back on. I told a cop their situation so he would look out for them. So at opening time they were waiting in the tire store parking lot. They didnt have a new tire but were able to sell them a good used tire. Back on the road again! I knew I couldnt just go to bed and leave them there like that. What would you do?

Wow! Great job! Too bad there aren't more people like you out there. I'm sure he and his family are thankful for what you've done.

I would have done something to help them out - don't know if I would have thought of that though.

Ya know... there only needs to be one law in this country. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Think about it - it's that simple. You're a good man, earl.

No good deed goes unpunished. You're a good person and what goes around comes around.

I would have helped them any way I could. On more than a few occasions I have assisted motorists/bikers broken down on the side of the road. Hopefully, I may get it in return.

Cheers!
