Annoyed neighbors hoist speed demon's car into tree

Angry residents of one Polish village tormented by a local speed demon have pushed the phrase "the punishment must fit the crime" to its limits -- by hoisting his beloved car into a huge willow tree. Even though Zbigniew Filo didn't have a driver's license, his fast and furious racing had been infuriating neighbors for months. The 24-year-old had clearly spent ages souping up his Ford Escort too, so was understandably horrified to find it nesting in this rather unorthodox position -- and even more annoyed when unsympathetic (and probably amused) police ordered him to remove it from the tree himself. The suitably chastised driver said, "I got the message, but I think it was a bit harsh."

Looks like those village folks know how to get the point across and it sounds like the driver understands the power of peer judgement............I'm still having a hard time visualizing in my wildest imagination......anyone dumb enough to spend a penny souping up a Escort! What did he accomplish....being faster than a Yugo or a Mule drawn cart. lmao

When I saw "souping up" I started thinking it 'could' be a cosworth turbo escort but I don't know for sure. Doesn't look as such.
