a rough week turned rougher last night

well the weather here in washington state sucked this week..
Monday no power to any of the schools so that was canceled for us. tuesday we had some snow storms that made travel sucky for those who had to be out in it

then the phone call happened last night at 9:17pm
One of my nephews neighbors called me saying his place was in flames (my nephews not the neighbors) her husband & two sons were over there trying to find out if david was over there.

I called his grandparents to let them know then we ran over there. Nothing we could do but sit back & watch. hoping david wasnt in there.

the place is 100% gone, & we think his dog is as well.

no he was at work an hour away. we didnt know that for sure until 3am this morning when he posted on facebook.

we do believe he lost his dog howie we cant find him. But the 5th wheel trailer is gone & so is everything else he had in it.

All his guns & most of the ammo.

his cell phone was shut off due to work policy.
I think after I finally got a hold of his mom, she was able to get a hold of him at work. but no one knew for sure.

contact this late at night isnt the best with the family, I am lucky I got a hold of his grandparents they normally shut their phones off at 9pm

Wow, scary situation. My sister's house burned to the ground aout a year ago & they lost everything. It is a really tough thing to go through. Glad everyone is okay though. Stuff you can replace.

He came over today to pick up a lap top & a bunch of stuff one of my co workers had laying around her house.
it was good to wrap my arms around him & hear his voice.

another one of my co workers handed me a $20 bill for him while my two kids & I turned over our weekend pay plus a few more dollars. (a grand total of $65 $45 from us & the $20 from the co worker)

Hes slowly getting his life back together, I know its only been a few days since It happen but hes trying to get it all back together.

We have come to rely so much on cell phones....Didn't anyone think to look up the number to the work and call the main office and ask for him. I keep my phone off at work because if there is a real emergency in which someone needs me, they can call the office and get me.

Now that I have ranted, I am happy that everyone is safe. I can't imagine what I would do if my house burned down, was hit by a tornado, or anything. At least he sounds like he has the support of you and other friends and family.
